Use of the App

Kiku is a PDF reading, annotation, and AI text-to-speech application. You may use the App for personal, educational, and professional purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or services
• Use the App to process content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures

Subscriptions

Kiku Pro

The App offers a premium subscription (“Kiku Pro”) that provides additional features including increased AI text-to-speech word limits. Kiku Pro is available as a monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscription.

Pricing

• Monthly: $29.99 USD per month
• Yearly: $159.99 USD per year

Prices may vary by region and are subject to change. Current pricing is always displayed in the App before purchase.

Word Limits

• Free tier: 1,000 words of AI text-to-speech per month
• Kiku Pro: 200,000 words of AI text-to-speech per month

Word limits reset monthly based on your billing cycle date. Unused words do not carry over to the next month. Words are counted at the time of audio generation, not playback.

Billing

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account. Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

Cancellation

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID Account Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

Free Trial

If a free trial is offered, the unused portion of the trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, features, and content, is owned by Zander Modaress-Razavi and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You retain full ownership of any documents, annotations, and content you create or import into the App.

AI-Generated Content

The App uses third-party AI services to generate text-to-speech audio and to filter document content. AI-generated audio is provided “as is” and may contain errors or inaccuracies. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or quality of AI-generated content.

User Content

You are solely responsible for the documents and content you import into the App. You represent that you have the necessary rights to use any content you import.

iCloud Sync

The App uses Apple iCloud to sync your documents and data across devices. iCloud sync is subject to Apple's terms and conditions. We are not responsible for data loss or sync issues caused by iCloud.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the App.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting updated Terms in the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
